Welcome to ADHD Meds in NYC.
Although this site contains information for ADHD patients living in New York City, most of the information applies to ADHD patients worldwide. The site was designed by Dr. Nicholas Schwartz, MD. Dr. Schwartz is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. He is Board-certified in both Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine and has a specialty practice in Adult ADHD medication management, which he runs from his office in Manhattan.
Because the practice mainly focuses on ADHD medications, the information contained here is weighted toward pharmacological treatment. However, also included is information about ADHD diagnosis, psychotherapy, and resources in NYC. The site is intended to be an information source for both practitioners and patients.
A note
on terminology: Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is also called Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). They are the same
thing. For simplicity's sake, this site uses only the term Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD.
